Antípoda - Revista de Antropología y Arqueología is the indexed journal published three times yearly by the Department of de Anthropology at the Universidad de los Andes (Bogota, Colombia) and dedicated to the advancement and dissemination of anthropological knowledge and the critical analysis of sociocultural, methodological, and theoretical topics that are important for understanding human problems. Antípoda constitutes an open, critical, plural forum that publishes articles that make it possible to disseminate and promote discussions in diverse subfields of anthropological knowledge and other related disciplines in the social and human sciences. Starting with the name Antípoda as a metaphor for "otherness," the journal presents different perspectives, expressed in its sections titled Meridians, Parallels, Panoramas, Documents, and Reviews. Antípoda is the academic periodical published by the Department of Anthropology of the School of Social Sciences at the Universidad de los Andes (Bogota, Colombia), which provides the financial support for the publication. The members of these committees are evaluated every two years with respect to their prestige in the field and their academic production, visible in other national and international journals and academic publications. |
