The Bulletin of Geology was founded in 1958 by geologists and Manuel Jaime De Porta  Julivert.  That same year saw the first issue of the magazine, whose mission has  been the dissemination of knowledge in the geosciences. 

The Bulletin of Geology, the journal of the School of Geology  Industrial University of Santander, is a biannual publication of movement 
international studies devoted to original and high quality in the field of  Geosciences.  The Bulletin of Geology is formed by the Editorial Board, a  International Scientific Committee and a Panel of Arbitrators, among which there are  with specialists in the country and abroad. 

Bol.geol.  its purpose is to publish original articles and high quality  scientific cooperation in the field of Geosciences.

Articles published in BOLETÍN DE GEOLOGÍA are indexed or summarized by: 

• GEOREF, Geology main database. 
• LATINDEX database of Latin American journals.

Information on copyright: name of the owner of the copyright, policy of the journal with respect to the photocopy of articles, and other matters, procedures of the journal etc.
