The journal of Investigación y Educación en Enfermería is a biannual publication which contains scientific and technical information collected [compiled] [produced] by the nursing school at the University of Antioquia. The journal was started in 1983 and given an ISSN 0120-5307 that same year by the ICFES’ Division of Bibliographical Resources. In September of 1986 the journal was legally recognized in Colombia through Resolution 003279 by the Division of Intellectual Property in the Republic of Colombia’s government. The journal is distributed both nationally and internationally.

Its abbreviated title is Invest. educ. enferm, and it should be used in bibliographies, footnotes, references and bibliographic strips.
