The journal Lecturas de Economía is published by the Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics, at the Universidad de Antioquia. Since 1980, it has been a scientific publication with high quality standards. It is addressed to economists and to those interested in the latest advances in the economics discipline, both at a theoretical and an empirical level. For this reason, this publication is of special interest for researchers, undergraduate and graduate students, university faculty and professionals who would like to stay up to date with the scientific novelties in economics.

The articles published in this journal are the result of rigorous, institutionally supported research projects. Nevertheless, all the manuscripts go through a careful evaluation process by anonymous academic peers. The journal also publishes book reviews, notes and translations of different economics texts. Lecturas de Economía is currently classified in the Colciencias (Colombia’s Departamento Administrativo de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación) Publindex publications index, with the category A2.
