The authors who present their work to Perfil de Coyuntura Económica must declare that their article is original and unpublished, is not being simultaneously considered for publication by other journals, and transfer all copy rights to the journal.

Perfil de Coyuntura Económica, concerned over the editorial quality of the published articles on macroeconomic phenomena at the national and international arena, requests for authors to abide by the following editorial norms.

A. The document can be sent by electronic means to: perfildecoyuntura@gmail.com or trhough Open Jpuurnal System OPS available.

B. The text must be typed without format, in Times New Roman, 12 point font, with 1.5 spacing. It must not exceed 20 pages (8000 words).

C. The article must be presented in its entirety in only one language (Spanish or English).

D. The articles heading must contain: full title, name (s) of the author (s), table of contents, abstract in Spanish and English, key words and Journal of Economic Literature, JEL, classification.

Note: Key words are terms used to index the article in data bases. Therefore, a recommendation to choose the key words correctly is to examine the Thesauri of databases that index research articles in Economics. 

E. The following author’s information is required: e-mail address and institutional affiliation.

F. Footnotes should only be used to clarify. This is, when the author (s) consider (s) that specific information should be included. They should never be used to reference.

III. For references

In order to guarantee a clear and coherent presentation of written material Perfil de Coyuntura Económica adopts the American Psychological Association, APA, style.

A. Published book
Author’s last name, first name initial. Title, edition, place of publication, Publishing house, referenced pages, year.

B. Chapter in a published book
Author’s last name, first name initial. Title of the chapter. Name of the book’s author, book title, edition, place of publication, Publishing house, referenced pages, year of publication.

C. Published journal article
Author’s last name, first name initial. (Year). Article Title. Journal title, volume, number (No), referenced pages.

D. Thesis and dissertations
Author’s last name, first name initial. (Year). Title. (Master’s, Ph. D. …) Thesis, institution.

E. Working papers
Author’s last name, first name initial. (Year). Document title. Unpublished document.

F. Conference and seminars
Author’s last name, first name initial. (Year). Conference or presentation title. Presented on …, date, city.

G. Online articles
Author’s last name (or institution), first name initial. (Year). Article title. [media format]. Place of publication. Retrieved month day and year form: complete URL (Uniform Resource Locator) (Note there is no period at the end of the reference).

H. Article from an electronic journal
Author’s last name, first name initial. (Year). Article title. [media format]. Journal title, volume, number, Retrieved month day and year form: complete URL.

I. Online independent document + no author + no publication date
Document title. (n.a.). [online]. Retrieved month, day, year from URL.

IV. Figures
These must be presented in Excel format, in grayscale, without borders. In a text box and marked with Arabic numbers on the top of the figure, with the corresponding name. For example, Graph 1, Graph 2, … Otherwise, an additional file with all figures must be submitted.

V. Process review
After acceptance of the article, galley proofs will be sent to the author (s) for final corrections. Afterwards, two copies of the corresponding number of the publication will be sent to the author and coauthors.
