The "Revista U.D.C.A Actualidad & Divulgación Cientifica" is a multidisciplinary, peer-reviewed, open-access and continuously produced journal that aims to evaluate, publish and disseminate research results not only from the Ibero-American region, but also from the others tropical and subtropical regions. In order to facilitate access and appropriation of scientific production, the journal publishes articles in Spanish, English or Portuguese. Most of the documents published correspond to scientific articles, however, also articles of reflection, reviews, case reports and technical notes are edited.

The journal has a publication history of more than uninterrupted 20 years and is indexed in Chemical Abstracts, CAB Abstract, National Bibliographic Index Publindex classified in "B" Announcement No. 830 of 2018, SciELO Colombia, reviewed in Latindex and included in the database Periódica UNAM, Mexico, in the Directory of Open Access Journals-DOAJ, and in the Red Iberoamericana de Innovación y Conocimiento Científico-REDIB.

The not charges for the publication to the authors and the free access to the readers obey to the financing of the Universidad de Ciencias Aplicadas y Ambientales and the disinterested collaboration of the peer reviewers.

Periodicity: The Revista U.D.C.A Actualidad & Divulgación Científica publishes each article online once it is accepted. Articles are then included either in fascicle one or two that are published per year; the first issue covers January-June and the second one July-December. The number of articles published per issue depends on the number of manuscripts summited, arbitrated and accepted, with a range between 25 and 35 articles; however, per issue only three Technical or Review Articles, three Technical Notes and three Case Reports are published.

The authors maintain the copyright and transfer the right of the first publication to the journal, with the article registered with Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial 4.0 International License, which allows third parties to use what is published as long as they mention the authorship of the article and its first publication in this journal.

It is recommended that authors include their articles in social networks such as Researchgate and in institutional repositories once the article is published or made visible on the journal's homepage, without forgetting to include the digital document identifier and the journal's name.

U.D.C.A Actuality & Divulgation Journal is an open-access initiative, seeking to abolish the access barriers to scientific literature, permitting its free availability through Internet.
