Trabajo Social is a thematic, peer-reviewed, semi-annual journal. The Social Work Department of the Universidad Nacional de Colombia launched this publishing project in 1998, in order to strengthen the discipline's academic community, both nationally and internationally.    

The journal publishes original, unpublished research and innovation articles that are the result of reflection from an analytical perspective, or of revision work, as well as bibliographic reviews dealing with theoretical and methodological advances in the discipline of Social Work. The journal is also interested in analyses related to social problems, social policy, and intervention strategies. Thus, it invites  scholars, students, and professionals in the field of Social Work and the Human, Social, and Health Sciences to submit their manuscripts.
