TRAINING COMPETENCES FOR WORKING WITH HERITAGE IN TEACHERS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF MATANZAS

Resumen La formación de competencias informacionales es una preocupación de las universidades en Cuba, debido a que la ciencia cubana, tiene poca visibilidad en las bases de datos, que sustentan artículos científicos publicados en revistas de alto impacto. En este sentido, la investigación tiene como objetivo proponer acciones que contribuyan a la formación de competencias informacionales para el tratamiento del patrimonio documental universitario en los docentes de la Universidad de Matanzas. La metodología utilizada parte de la recopilación de información bibliográfica y documental, para el análisis de fuentes que sirven de sustento teórico a la investigación. Como resultado se propone un grupo de competencias informacionales, en las cuáles se debe trabajar, desde la biblioteca. Se presenta además los contenidos del diplomado que se oferta en la biblioteca de la Universidad de Matanzas, para finalizar se exponen los resultados obtenidos del diplomado implementado en el presente año 2023.

Abstract The formation of informational skills is a concern of the universities in Cuba, because Cuban science has little visibility in the databases, which support scientific articles published in high-impact journals. In this sense, the research aims to propose actions that contribute to the formation of informational skills for the treatment of university documentary heritage in the teachers of the University of Matanzas. The methodology used is based on the collection of bibliographic and documentary information, for the analysis of sources that serve as theoretical support for the investigation. As a result, a group of informational competencies is proposed, which should be worked on, from the library. The contents of the diploma that is offered in the library of the University of Matanzas is also presented, to finish, the results obtained from the diploma implemented in the present year 2023 are exposed.

Analysis of the perception of users regarding the process of reading human books: Experience of The Human Library in the National Library of Peru

Resumen En la sociedad peruana, la discriminación es una problemática compleja y de larga data que, pese a las normativas vigentes a nivel nacional e internacional, se sigue reproduciendo y legitimando en todos los espacios sociales. Para contrarrestar esta situación, la Biblioteca Nacional del Perú, en el año 2018, autorizó a la organización internacional The Human Library presentar dos actividades de “Biblioteca Humana”, las cuales se sustentaban en la lectura de libros humanos, es decir, en una dinámica de diálogo en donde los libros (personas voluntarias) comparten con los usuarios sus historias personales con el propósito de desarticular los esquemas socioculturales que fundamentan y legitiman las conductas discriminatorias. El objetivo de la presente investigación fue conocer si estas actividades cumplieron con su finalidad, por lo que se analizaron las percepciones que construyeron los usuarios respecto al proceso de lectura. Para ello, se realizó un estudio cualitativo de carácter descriptivo y se aplicó la Teoría Fundamentada, privilegiando algunas contribuciones del enfoque straussiano y constructivista. Los resultados demuestran que el proceso de lectura contrarresta prejuicios, estereotipos, creencias, ideas y estigmas que posibilitan perpetuar y asegurar las prácticas discriminatorias.

Abstract In Peruvian society, discrimination is a complex and long-standing problem that, despite the regulations in force at the national and international level, continues to be reproduced and legitimized in all social spaces. To counteract this situation, the National Library of Peru, in 2018, authorized the international organization The Human Library to present two “Human Library” activities, which were based on the reading of human books, that is, on a dynamic dialogue where books (volunteers) share with users their personal stories in order to dismantle the sociocultural schemes that base and legitimize discriminatory behaviors. The objective of this research was to find out if these activities fulfilled their purpose, so the perceptions that users built regarding the reading process were analyzed. For this, a qualitative descriptive study was carried out and Grounded Theory was applied, favoring some contributions from the straussian and constructivist approach. The results show that the reading process counteracts prejudices, stereotypes, beliefs, ideas and stigmas that make it possible to perpetuate and ensure discriminatory practices.

Antes de Amazon. Industria editorial y mutaciones culturales

Abstract Amazon has radically changed the publishing world. And this transformation is so profound that everything done before by the publishing industry today is seen as the product of an apathetic industry, chronically indifferent to change. Nothing could be further from the truth, as this text tries to highlight, and in an attempt to demystify this view, it recovers four moments and areas of the past history of publishing, all with transformative effects that still influence our practices: labor, intellectual property, Christmas celebrations and mass consumption.

Resumen Amazon ha cambiado radicalmente el mundo editorial, y esta transformación es tan profunda que todo lo que se ha hecho hasta ahora en la industria editorial es visto como el producto de una industria apática, crónicamente indiferente al cambio. Nada más lejos de la realidad, como trata de poner de manifiesto este texto que, en un intento de desmitificar esta visión, recupera cuatro momentos y ámbitos de la historia pasada de la edición, todos ellos con efectos transformadores que aún influyen en nuestras prácticas: el trabajo, la propie-dad intelectual, las fiestas navideñas y el gran consumo.

Visions of the Social Appropriation of Bibliographic and Documentary Heritage: Analysis and Review of Some Actions and Initiatives in Colombia

Resumen En este texto se pone en discusión algunos elementos en torno al concepto de apropiación social del patrimonio cultural, en concreto, en lo referido a lo bibliográfico y lo documental. Para ello, se traen distintas visiones sobre la apropiación social de este patrimonio, tanto de académicos como de sus instituciones culturales rectoras; además, se sistematizan algunas políticas, acciones e iniciativas encaminadas en ese propósito: el de la gestión, preservación y apropiación social del patrimonio bibliográfico y documental, en el marco del patrimonio cultural en Colombia.

Abstract The text discusses some elements around the concept of social appropriation of cultural heritage, specifically, concerning bibliographic and documentary aspects. It presents different views on the social appropriation of this heritage, both academics and the cultural institutions that govern it. Additionally, it outlines certain policies, actions, and initiatives aimed at the management, preservation, and social appropriation of bibliographic and documentary heritage within the framework of cultural heritage in Colombia.

How to Apply Mindfulness Technology in Preconciliation: Contributions from International Publications

Resumen Los mecanismos alternativos para la resolución de conflictos, como la conciliación, son más eficientes y efectivos cuando las partes cuentan con altos niveles de inteligencia emocional. A su vez, la práctica de mindfulness contribuye al desarrollo de esa inteligencia. De ahí que el propósito de este artículo sea indagar por el conocimiento que oriente la aplicación de la tecnología del mindfulness en la pre-conciliación, es decir, antes de que las partes inicien la negociación formal del conflicto. Con tal fin, se usó el método mixto de revisión bibliográfica integral, el cual combina análisis cuantitativo mediante la técnica bibliométrica del mapeo científico, con codificación cualitativa a partir de la técnica de síntesis interpretativa crítica. Como resultado, se propone un marco integral para organizar y articular en sinergia los frentes potenciales de aplicación de la tecnología del mindfulness, en sus múltiples acepciones, en la pre-conciliación. El marco propuesto es relevante para académicos, personas particulares y organizaciones de todos los sectores con interés en aumentar la eficiencia y la efectividad de estos mecanismos

Abstract Alternative dispute resolution, such as conciliation, are more efficient and effective when the parties have high levels of emotional intelligence. Likewise, the practice of mindfulness contributes to the development of that intelligence. Hence, the purpose of this paper is to review literature that guides the application of mindfulness in preconciliation, that is, before the parties begin the formal negotiation of the conflict. To this end, the mixed method of integral review was used, which combines quantitative analysis through the bibliometric technique of scientific mapping, with qualitative coding based on the critical interpretive synthesis technique. As a result, a comprehensive framework is proposed to organize and articulate in synergy the potential fronts for the application of mindfulness, in its multiple meanings, in preconciliation. The proposed framework is relevant to academics, individuals, and organizations from all sectors with an interest in increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of these mechanisms
