^les^aEl artículo examina los imaginarios nacionales de Chile en la década del veinte y su representación grafica y material. Para ello se recurre a un caso concreto: los preparativos y el montaje del pabellón de Chile en la Exposición Iberoamericana de Sevilla en 1929. El estudio explica la influencia del nacionalismo culturalista en los imaginarios chilenos y la necesidad de representar en la exposición el "alma nacional". Luego, analiza cómo estas ideas fueron puestas en escena en la representación del país en la exposición. Se presta especial atención a los desafíos de tal representación y a las negociaciones en torno a su contenido entre los diferentes actores participantes.^len^aThis article examines Chilean national imaginaries during the 1920s and their graphic and material representation. It does so through a concrete case: the preparations and staging of Chile's pavilion in the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929 in Seville. The study begins by explaining the influence of culturalist nationalism on Chilean imaginaries and the need to represent the "national soul" in the exposition. It then analyzes how these ideas were physically and graphically represented in the country's exhibit. Special attention is paid to the representational challenges and the negotiations between different participants concerning the content of the exhibit.
