^les^aEl estudio de las relaciones interestatales en América Latina a fines del siglo XIX y principios del XX es un aliciente para comprender los procesos de consolidación de espacios territoriales. Las disputas territoriales de carácter bilateral dieron paso a la intervención de terceros Estados, ya sea por los propios intereses nacionales o por un deseo de conseguir acuerdos, evitando así una guerra. Es por ello que el objetivo de este trabajo es presentar la posición de la política exterior chilena frente al escenario conflictivo ecuatoriano-peruano hacia 1910, ya que Chile mantenía intereses en Ecuador y problemas pendientes con Perú. No obstante, logró mantener un discurso hacia la paz regional y la negociación.^len^aThe study of interstate relations in Latin America at the turn of the twentieth century sheds light on processes of territorial consolidation. Bilateral territorial disputes gave way to the intervention of third states, either pursuing their own national interests or out of a desire to promote agreements to avoid war. With this in mind, the aim of this article is to examine Chile's foreign policy position regarding the territorial dispute between Ecuador and Peru circa 1910. Even though Chile had interests in Ecuador and unresolved disputes with Peru, it was able to maintain a discourse promoting regional peace and negotiation.
