ARCOS PALMA, Ricardo Javier. Aesthetics and its political dimension according to Jacques Rancière. []. , 31, pp.139-155. ISSN 0121-7550.

The philosophy of Jacques Rancière reserves an important place to aesthetics. Aesthetics are redefined from a political and ethical point of view, not as a discipline, but rather as a sensible regime. This article aims to approach the basics of aesthetics, their redefinition and their political dimensions, problematizing the multiple problems between politics, ethics and aesthetics, and stressing a critical reading of the Rancière writing with other perspectives which unify or separate these spheres.

: aesthetics; ethics; politics; criticism; spectator; emancipation.
