SIERRA LEON, Yolanda. Relations between art and human rights. []. , 32, pp.77-100. ISSN 0122-9893.

This article aims to reflect briefly about the connection between art and human rights, taking into account the origin or provenance of the explanation of art. For consequence, we consider three types of work: 1. Works originating in a judicial or State decision as a means of redress for victims; 2. Works of art from the artists own initiative, and, 3. Artworks or performing art practices performing victims who have suffered violations of their human rights. This text, by considering that the works of art or artistic practices related to human rights, have different objectives depending on their origin. It argues that the state is to compensate victims and help with the guarantee of non-repetition, meanwhile the artists to express their sensitivity in relation to a specific topic that interests them to touch on a subject, and victims are mechanisms of resistance and denunciation which enable to move the individual trauma to the formation of collective entities with the capacity to influence social conditions leading to the violation of their Human Rights. To think about the issue, some judgments are touched on a subject of the System idh and artistic works, art practices of victims of the Colombian armed conflict.
