^les^aEl artículo aborda de modo breve la producción epistemológica y metodológica de Hugo Zemelman, sociólogo chileno radicado en México. Se revisan las categorías centrales de una producción de varias décadas y escritos, procurando destacar el importante momento que va desde la apertura de la investigación hasta el cierre, espacio en el que se juega la construcción del objeto de estudio y la generación de campos problemáticos como multiplicidad de posibles problemas entre los cuales optar.^len^aThis article briefly deals with the epistemological and methodological production of Hugo Zemelman, a Chilean sociologist based in Mexico. It will review the central categories of a production of several decades and writings, ensuring that the important time which runs from the opening of the investigation to the close is highlighted, a duration in which the construction of the object of study is played with and the generation of problematic fields as a multiplicity of possible problems to choose from.
