^les^aLas reglas del impacto son dispositivos teóricos formulados por Descartes para determinar cómo los cuerpos aumentan, disminuyen o desvían sus movimientos por el choque con otros. Tales reglas aparecen claramente formuladas en Los principios de la filosofía de 1644. El objetivo del presente artículo es analizar la forma en que se establecen dichas reglas mediante la aplicación de la tercera ley de la naturaleza. El contexto en el cual se enmarca este análisis está representado por las discusiones en torno a la interpretación de las relaciones entre física y metafísica en la obra cartesiana.^len^aThe impact rules are theoretical devices conceived by Descartes to determine how bodies increase, decrease or veer their movements, due to the strike with others. Such rules are visibly formulated in The Principles of Philosophy in 1644. The focus point of this article is to analyze how the mentioned rules are established through the application of the third law of nature. The context in which this analysis is framed is represented by the arguments around the interpretation of the relations between physics and metaphysics in the Cartesian work.
