RENGIFO-CASTANEDA, Carlos Adolfo; CANAVERAL-LONDONO, Diana Carolina    GIRALDO-ZULUAGA, Conrado. The Rigor and Objectivity in Science According to the Epistemology of Evandro Agazzi. []. , 19, 33, pp.133-158. ISSN 0124-6127.  https://doi.org/10.17151/difil.2018.19.33.9.

This research result article presents, from primary and secondary sources, some of the aspects that characterize the requirements of rigor and objectivity in science, exposed by the Italian philosopher Evandro Agazzi. According to this, this paper aims to: in the first place, address the problem around the relationship between philosophy (metaphysics) and science; in second place, to give an account of the rigor and scientific objectivity's requirements; and in third place, to present some aspects related to the concepts of referentiality and truth in science, according to the Agazzian perspective. Finally, this research recognize a clearly adequate, relevant and novel conception about the scientific rationality in which, on the one hand, certain types of particular rationality are pointed out within the sciences and on the other, how operate the criteria of rationality adopted within each scientific discipline.
