Until after 2012, San Juan city at Argentina had a growth of its urban area, which was characterized by be extended to productive zones and by keeping a density low enough to require high infrastructure costs per inhabitant. This article studies the real state part of this growth throughout the year 2012. Year marked by high inflation, and the drop of the international gold price, which is the main economic referent of San Juan province. Text shows that the vast majority of land supply are located in residential urban zones. It also highlights that there several cases in outlying areas with a price increase much higher than can be expected by inflation.
