ALFONSO-AVILA, Julieth Viviana; LEON-RODRIGUEZ, Adriana del Pilar; DIAZ-MARQUEZ, Sonia Esperanza    QUEVEDO-REYES, Jorge Enrique. Evaluation of habitability in neighborhoods. Use of alternative techniques. []. , 29, 3, pp.69-78. ISSN 0124-7913.  https://doi.org/10.15446/bitacora.v29n3.67227.

The design of habitable neighborhoods must be guaranteed within the planning of a city; which have an orderly road hierarchy, sufficient green areas and adequate public spaces, allowing, in turn, the integration with the rest of activities of the city. However, when the neighborhood is already built, the work of the planner is aimed at determining its habitability level, in terms of what has already been stated, in order to determine the need for intervention. Thus, the purpose of this article is to assess the habitability of neighborhoods considering mobility and urbanism indicators, through the use of non-traditional techniques in transport engineering such as social cartography, aerial observation and a mobile application (Mobydick). For this, the Asís neighborhood in Tunja (Colombia) was taken as a case study. As a result, it was evidenced that the simultaneous use of interdisciplinary techniques complements the evaluation of habitability in a functional unit such as the neighborhood, from the point of view of mobility.
