El hacer pruebas de usabilidad es considerado un elemento importante en lo relacionado con el diseño de sitios Web. Cada página Web ofrece un servicio y se crea con objetivos específicos como entretener, comunicar, hacer negocios, enseñar, entre otros. Pero es importante identificar si realmente la experiencia del usuario al navegar por el sitio, permite que los fines para los cuales fue diseñado se cumplan. A raíz de este planteamiento, nace el concepto de Usabilidad, que significa asegurarse de que algo funcione bien, es decir, que una persona con capacidad y experiencia media (o incluso por debajo de la media) pueda ser capaz de usar algo con el objetivo deseado sin sentirse completamente frustrado (Krug, 2006). No debemos desconocer, que los problemas de Usabilidad afectan a los niños, ya que no son capaces de superar algunos problemas técnicos y no logran comprender mensajes de error, optando por irse otro sitio. Este estudio se concentró en evaluar la usabilidad de un sitio Web educativo dirigido a niños, donde se aplicaron, a un total de 20 niños de dos instituciones educativas diferentes, las técnicas "Pensar en voz alta" y "Test de Usuario", las cuales han sido propuestas para evaluar la usabilidad del sitio Web educativo seleccionado. A partir de los resultados obtenidos, se plantea una propuesta de rediseño al sitio Web educativo, con el fin de mejorar la usabilidad y la experiencia educativa de los niños.

The usability testing is considered an important element in relation to the design of Web sites. Each Web page provides a service and is created with specific objectives as entertaining, communicating, doing business, and teaching, among others. But it is important to identify whether the user experience when browsing the site, actually allows meeting the purposes for which it was designed. Following this approach, the concept of usability emerges in terms of making something work well, i.e. a person with capacity and average experience (or even below average) may be able to use something with a specific purpose without feeling completely frustrated (Krug, 2006). We should not ignore that usability problems also affect children, since they are not able to overcome some technical problems and fail to understand error messages, opting to go to other websites. This study focused on evaluating the usability of an educational website for children. The evaluation techniques, such as "Thinking out loud" and "User Test', were applied to a total of 20 children from two different educational institutions. Results permit to propose the redesign of educational Website in order to improve the usability and the educational experience of children.
