The qualitative paradigm of research in health is considered as an orientation that delves into the subjectivity of individuals with whom it interacts to understand them, the phenomena and the behaviors of its interest better.
Interviews are part of the qualitative work and is an effective tool to unravel meanings elaborated by the subjects in their speeches, stories and experiences. In this way, subjects are approached in their individuality and intimacy. Therefore, this paper aims to establish a practical and necessary guide for correctly applying interviews in health qualitative research.
