The present article is the result of 10 years of research in Informed Consent in Biomedical Investigation. This article displays a systematic analysis of the theoretical and practical aspects of the informed consent in vulnerable people and populations. It approaches the question from all the pertinent angles, from the historical one to the legal one, happening through philosophical, psychological, anthropological and didactic of the informed consent. The depth in the route by the theoretical aspects is more complemented by the presentation of the practical aspects, than it arrives until the formulation of very concrete proposals for the improvement of the informed consent.
