Abstract

SANCHEZ CARCAMO, Ricardo Antonio. Heritage as an ontological security mechanism. Reflections for the conservation of the artisanal technique of the elaboration of the filigree developed in the municipality of Mompox before technological changes in the goldsmith's craft. memorias [online]. 2019, n.38, pp.72-97. ISSN 1794-8886.  https://doi.org/10.14482/memor.38.739.22.

The present qualitative research, which is based on an exercise of semi-structured interviews, aims to investigate the relevance of the inclusion of the the artisanal technique of the elaboration of the filigree of Mompox technique in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage - LRPCI, under the budget of strengthening ontological security of the community or group of goldsmiths of Mompox. In this sense, the momposina filigree, which is understood as the heritage of the town of Mompox and in particular of its artisans (goldsmiths), claims a space in the List taking into account the low quality of life in which this practice is developed. Thus, the cultural sector is considered as a way to improve the socio-economic conditions of the filigree artisans and with it, their ontological security.
