Abstract

PYSZCZEK, Oscar Luis. The spatial intelligibility process. A typological proposal for subjective spaces in cities. Entramado [online]. 2018, vol.14, n.2, pp.98-112. ISSN 1900-3803.  https://doi.org/10.18041/1900-3803/entramado.2.4746.

The approach to the XXI century cities implies a change in the analytical perspectives of study mediated by the ecological approach, which allows cities to be considered as eminently anthropic ecosystems with mechanisms of collective defenses, including spatial intelligibility. The present article tries to put in discussion the attribution of meanings to different intraurban spaces mainly of Latin American cities. The main objective consists of the identification of the underlying invisible cartography, using a typological approach of subjective spaces based on the persistence of urban sensations, perceptions and stigmas. The methodology supposes a double approach way: a theoretical, result of the search, selection, analysis and systematization of the works referred to the invisible urban cartographies, mainly of Latin America. It seeks to identify the correspondences between experiences and research, the result of which is the design of a classification of subjective spaces. In a second instance and empirically, cases that support and exemplify the categorization of subjective spaces emerged in the previous stage are exposed. The purpose of scientific work is to discuss the intangible heritage that converges and circulates within and outside urban spaces.

Keywords : Subjective spaces; cities; sensations; perceptions; spatial stigmas.
