In this research paper we present some conceptual and methodological elaborations achieved by the research incubator in art and memory "Incandescencias: del Recuerdo a la Creación" from the Visual Arts Program at Universidad Pedagógica Nacional. The central reflection revolves around the relationship found between memories (especially the individual) and our experience with space. We also focus on artistic cartographies as methodological strategies to discuss this space-memory correspondence. Our discussion is based on several cartographic exercises developed by the members of the research incubator.
