In this paper we present new trends and conceptual approaches that will help us to understand some capital issues for Sub-Saharan Africa, such as the intrastate conflicts, complex political emergencies, humanitarian interventionism and peace processes, that were gestated during the Post-cold War and with its own original logics and guiding parameters.
