Abstract

The article analyzes the historical process of the social mobilization of women in Medellin (Colombia), it's premises in the 1980's, the changes and transformations it underwent in the 1990's and 2000's, delving in one of its expressions, resulting in its current outcome in the Estamos Listas (We are Ready) movement. On this basis, the political incidence achieves after a slow and quiet organizational process, fed by diverse characters and motivations in women's organizations in Medellin and Antioquia. Methodologically, a case study from documental and videographic analysis it carries out, as well as interviews with protagonists of the Estamos Listas political movement. The analysis makes use of theoretical categories such as women's movements and feminist struggles, political movements, and participatory parity. As a result, in the three decades analyzed of this social movement, there is a combination, and at moments a superimposition - although, with different emphases - of three periods or phases: Denunciation, confrontation with the State and interlocution as a key character for the design and execution of gender focused public policies.
