Abstract
ARRUBLA SANCHEZ, RICARDO; CUDRIS TORRES, LORENA and SAAVEDRA ESPITIA, CAMILO. Imagination, War Memory and Symbolic Reparation. Estud. Socio-Juríd [online]. 2023, vol.25, n.1, e04. Epub Oct 10, 2023. ISSN 0124-0579. https://doi.org/10.12804/revistas.urosario.edu.co/sociojuridicos/a.12121.
This scientific article aims to analyze the armed conflict victims' imagination through the narration of the experiences of symbolic reparation to understand the role of social memory in the re-signification of hurt and pain. It is a phenomenological investigation focused on collecting the lived experience through interviews and mental mapping. The results allowed us to identify a high nonconformity regarding symbolic reparation, a product of the profound impact of the war on memory, a fact that deteriorates the imagination and leads to a crisis of representation.
