Abstract

CARDENAS PAEZ, Alfonso. Piaget: Language, Knowledge and Education. Rev. colomb. educ. [online]. 2011, n.60, pp.71-91. ISSN 0120-3916.

Regarding language, there is a metaphysical program which relies on signs and configures language as a means of logical representation. This view pervades Piaget's proposal and, in turn, underlies some current pedagogical models. This paper approaches some constructivist theories and specifically, the relationship between language and thought and the role of transduction in children's reasoning.

Keywords : Piaget; language; thought; education; constructivism; transduction.
