Abstract

GALINDO-OLAYA, Juan Diego. The Notion of the Child in the Emile: A Cross Reading between Rousseau and Deleuze. Pedagogía y Saberes [online]. 2023, n.59, pp.104-114.  Epub July 01, 2023. ISSN 0121-2494.  https://doi.org/10.17227/pys.num59-18828.

105 Jean-Jacques Rousseau proposes to think about the situations in which the child is constituted, and creates relationships with oneself, with others and with things. Then, we ask ourselves: What is the situation in which children have been placed in our culture, that is contrary to their nature? The pedagogical discourses that have assumed the postulate of the child as the center of the educational process have not considered the sensitive reason as a concept to think about the children and their relationships. Therefore, we reflect on the children from a transversal reading with Gilles Deleuze, in terms of their sensitivity to the signs as the first form of self-knowledge, knoeledge of others, and of society, that is limited or enhanced by the relationships in which they are inscribed at born.

Keywords : child; education; pedagogy; relationships; sensitive reason.
