Abstract

VILLANUEVA BARRETO, Jaime Javier. The Transcendental Motive in Kant and Husserl. Estud.filos [online]. 2009, n.39, pp.55-80. ISSN 0121-3628.

Abstract: The article explores the sense in which both Kant and Husserl understand the Transcendental and the importance of this concept for their respective philosophies. The author investigates this relation with the aim of showing that both philosophies start from a radical reflection on the Conditions of Possibility of Experience, arriving at different conclusions on it. The article also reviews the consequences of establishing a Transcendental Philosophy and the enormous difference between Kant's and Husserl's points of view on Experience as the articulator of the Transcendental in their own philosophies.

Keywords : Transcendental; Transcendental Idealism; Regulative ideal; Transcendental Subjectivity; Reflection; Experience; Kant; Husserl.
