Abstract

GARZON MARTINEZ, María Teresa. "Following the white rabbit": Santiago Castro-Gómez and the job of the genealogist. Nómadas [online]. 2015, n.43, pp.217-229. ISSN 0121-7550.

The article presents the work of the Colombian philosopher Santiago Castro-Gomez, from the personal perspective of the article's author, who offers the film The Matrix as a narrative foundation for the article, in order to creatively illustrate the philosopher's proposals, influences and contributions to the scholar world, to a way of thinking and to some "forms of doing" inspired by the breaking of disciplinary boundaries, critical thinking and political settings of those who produce knowledge. It also highlights the consolidation of individual thinking in regards to the imagination of a utopia working towards indiscipline of both academia and life itself.

Keywords : Latin American reasoning; cultural studies; genealogy; decolonial turn; antagonism; political philosophy.
