Abstract

BAUTISTA-SAFAR, Tatiana Paola  and  MOLINA-SANTAMARIA, Ximena. Of the Clash of Civilizations to the Clash with Reality: Samuel Huntington 20 years Later. Ágora U.S.B. [online]. 2019, vol.19, n.1, pp.220-230. ISSN 1657-8031.  https://doi.org/10.21500/16578031.3392.

Samuel Huntington poses in 1996 the lines of fracture in his work Clash of Civilizations , as a guideline to understand world conflicts. Twenty years after its launch, it is intended to determine whether the author’s hypotheses are in force in the case of Crimea in the current context. The document will approach the theory posed by Huntington, by deepening the criticisms made to the postulates in order to analyze its validity, in the Ukrainian case.

Keywords : Samuel Huntington; Clash of Civilizations; Ukraine; and Crimea.
