TOCANCIPA-FALLA, Jairo. PLAYING THE GAME OF REPRESENTATIONS: AN ANTHROPOLOGICAL ANALYSIS OF COFFEE NATIONAL IDENTITY IN TIMES OF CRISIS. Antipod. Rev. Antropol. Arqueol. [online]. 2010, n.10, pp.111-136. ISSN 1900-5407.

New strategies to promote the coffee production and consumption were designed by the National Coffee Federation of Colombia, amongst them renewing the image of Colombian coffee producers, as symbol of coffee producers. In this paper, we describe and analyze, from an anthropological perspective, the political game of representing socially the coffee growers in this crisis period, and the implications for the current situation at the national level.
