As a result of the conflicts that have occurred in various countries around the word, which bring about the necessary establishment of transitional justice that includes processes of truth, justice, reparation and non-repetition, and which propose strategies leading to the restoration of order and peaceful coexistence, it is as cobra the recovery of historical memory is highly valued, from where the path towards reconciliation, the repair of the social fabric and the strengthening of democracy is opened. This work focuses on the study of democracy. This work focuses on the study of memory applied to some events that occurred during the Second World War and in the postwar period; the discussion takes place around whether it is necessary to forget or reform memory on the road to concertation and peace, reaching the conclusion that, certainly, the reconciliation of peoples and men is urgent in order to undertake a new history, fairer and more harmonious, but it is equally important not to forget as a strategy of non-repetition.
