Abstract

HERRERA, J. D.; TOLEDO, J. T.  and  TOLEDO, A.. Comparative performance analysis of the modulation formats RZ-DQPSK and RZ-PDPSK facing Optical Compensation Techniques of the Chromatic Dispersion on 10 Gbps DWDM Networks. Entre Ciencia e Ingenieria [online]. 2018, vol.12, n.23, pp.9-15. ISSN 1909-8367.  https://doi.org/10.31908/19098367.3697.

During the transport of information through an optical fiber-based network, various signal distortions can occur. One of these distortions is the chromatic dispersion which generates delays or spectral broadening of the optical pulses as they propagate through the fiber causing an overlap with their adjacent pulses, whereby the use of compensation techniques is necessary. This article analyzes the optical compensation techniques of chromatic dispersion in a DWDM network for 10 Gbps, in order to propose the best configuration for redressal and to consolidate knowledge that can help operators to define solutions to support new requirements.
