Abstract

OJEDA PEREZ, Robert  and  LIZCANO ROA, Julie Paola. Identity Construction From Narratives With a Psychohistory Perspective. Aleth. rev. desarro. hum. educ. soc. contemp. [online]. 2015, vol.7, n.2, pp.12-29. ISSN 2145-0366.

This text is a product of the research undertaken as part of the pedagogical approaches research program for the PhD in education and society of La Salle University, and is an enquiry as to how the memory and identity of a society is to be explained and recovered. Establishing a dialogue between history, philosophy and psychology, we have taken a qualitative, theoretical-textual narrative, psycho-historical approach, where certain concepts that may be applied to think about identity from a narrative perspective, are used to reconstruct the history of a subject in relation to his social environment. Thus, it was found that the best way to construct memory is to bear in mind the facts from the past, the day-to-day from the present and the horizon of expectations from the future. All this integrated in a narrative thread, which from psychohistory perspective, makes possible an introspection that may lead to a cultural change of mindset.

Keywords : Psychohistory; Qualitative; Narrative; Memory; Identity.
