This document outlines the role of cultural management mechanisms in the transformation of the organizational culture through habit formation. “Using surveys, interviews, focus groups and observation processes in an organization of the energy sector, the article poses the question: why cultural management mechanisms can be effective in changing organizational culture? the text sets out factors involved in the formation of habits in workers. Also, the cultural management mechanisms that have impacted those factors are treated. Subsequently, the culture is proposed as a collective construction and other elements that are involved in the cultural transformation are addressed.
