Colombia is a country with large expanses of land suitable for agriculture and for the marketing of organic or agricultural products. This article presents the development of organic agriculture, the regulation established in the country, and the dynamics of national production, export, and marketing of these products, compared to other countries. At the same time it mentions organizations that are qualified to award ecological certifications. A review of secondary sources was carried out, analyzing documents emanating from public and private national and international organizations specialized in the topic. As a conclusion, although the dynamics of production, export and marketing of these products are still in their infancy, there are opportunities to find greater demand from consumers. However, the government needs to increase incentives, in addition to the participation of communities and private enterprise to increase the dynamic of these organic markets.
