Abstract
LEON DIAZ, Ruby Esther. The Ethnic-Racial Differential Approach to Black, Afro-Colombian, Raizal, and Palenquero Persons, Collectives, Communities, and Populations. Reflections for Practice. Trab. soc. [online]. 2020, vol.22, n.1, pp.33-63. ISSN 2256-5493. https://doi.org/10.15446/ts.v22n1.78887.
The ethnic differential approach has begun to be increasingly used in some State institutions that handle social, cultural, and reparation matters. The article proposes a guide for the implementation of that approach, including the racial aspect, for black, Afro-Colombian, raizal, and palenquero persons, collectives, communities, and populations. To that effect, it revisits and analyzes the institutional discourse on that approach and invites institutions to build paths through concrete, planned and reflexive actions. The article concludes that this type of intervention should influence the transformation of the socioeconomic, racial, and cultural injustices suffered by Afro-descendants in Colombia.
