Abstract

MONTEALEGRE MONGROVEJO, Diana María. Feminist Contributions and Critiques regarding the Incorporation of Women and Gender Mainstreaming into Development. Trab. soc. [online]. 2020, vol.22, n.1, pp.107-124. ISSN 2256-5493.  https://doi.org/10.15446/ts.v22n1.80484.

This academic literature revision article examines the main contributions of diverse feminisms to the issue of the relation among women, gender, and development. It prioritizes the literature that emphasizes the achievements and failures of the incorporation of women and gender mainstreaming into the institutionalized framework of development, as well as that focusing on the limitations of the epistemological and ideological frameworks on which that relation is grounded. To conclude, the article states the need for a feminist decoloniality of the women-gender-development relation.

Keywords : development; feminisms; gender; intersectionality; policies; women.
