Abstract

HERNANDEZ BARRIOS, Aldo  and  CAMARGO URIBE, Ángela. Self-regulated learning in higher education in Latin-America: A systematic review. rev.latinoam.psicol. [online]. 2017, vol.49, n.2, pp.146-160. ISSN 0120-0534.  https://doi.org/10.1016/j.rlp.2017.01.001.

The aim of this study was to conduct a systematic review on empirical studies on self-regulated learning in Latin-American university students. The search was performed in the databases, Academic Search Complete®, Educational Source®, Science Direct®, Scopus®, Scielo®, and Redalyc®. The eligibility criteria were: studies had been conducted with a university student population of at least one Latin-American country, and report findings regardless of the methodology used. After eliminating duplicates, the review included a total of 43 papers that fulfilled the eligibility criteria. Bibliometric information is presented and the scope of the various studies is evaluated by their methodological approaches. Finally, some observations are made on the state of development of self-regulated learning in the region.
