Abstract

VILLEGAS BOHORQUEZ, Farid. ON READING AND WRITING, AND THE MYTHS OF WHY NOT DOING IT. Escritos - Fac. Filos. Let. Univ. Pontif. Bolivar. [online]. 2011, vol.19, n.43, pp.457-479. ISSN 0120-1263.

This paper aims to locate the dichotomy between reading and writing through a critical approach to these two concepts. Both concepts share a double implication in which none of them could be understood without the other. Reading and writing are so close that they offer the foundation point to provide an intellectual definition of reader and researcher, in which an activity of contingent and continuous creation is constituted. In accordance to this, reading and writing are, in this particular case, combined objects of an analysis that indirectly recovers the exegesis on the Communication Theory, which is not only possible but pertinent to a conceptual and substantially creative criticism.

Keywords : Hermeneutics; Code; Communication; Sign; Text.
