Abstract

HIGUITA LOPEZ, Daimer  and  SANABRIA SANCHEZ, Fabián. Habitus in the Understanding of Organizational Culture: A Study of the Procesos y Diseños Energéticos S.A. Company. Innovar [online]. 2014, vol.24, n.54, pp.59-74. ISSN 0121-5051.  https://doi.org/10.15446/innovar.v24n54.46439.

Based on Pierre Bourdieu (2000)'s notion of habitus this article presents a comprehensive perspective on the formation of habits in the configuration of organizational cultures. The article revolves around the question "What is the role played by habitus in the formation of workers' habits"? Based on empirical research carried out in the company Procesos y Diseños Energéticos S.A., it illustrates, first, the habits associated with cultural management and, second, presents three scenarios that analyze the connection between habitus and the company's cultural system, and the role the scenarios play in the creation of worker habits.

Keywords : Cultural management; habitus; habits; organizational culture.
