Abstract

BORJAS DE XENA, LESLIE. THE LEADERSHIP COMPETENCY IN VENEZUELAN MANAGERS. Rev.fac.cienc.econ. [online]. 2011, vol.19, n.2, pp.141-152. ISSN 0121-6805.

This work describes the social representations on the leadership competence in Venezuelans managers. The epistemological approach was done from an interpretative perspective. The data recollection techniques applied semi structured interviews, validated by experts. The analysis was made according technique of Spink (1994) and Strauss & Corbin (2002). The emergency categories were the RS of the managers, characterized by the model of leader based on personal characteristics as an anchorage process that requires the conceptualization of leadership as competence in the collective of the managers.
