Abstract

The purpose of this article is to determine the type of military leadership predominating in the Second Division of the National Army of Colombia and its relationship with combative morale. Qualitative techniques such as the in-depth interview and quantitative techniques such as the survey were used. The information was processed through an exploratory factor analysis. The results of this research show that the prevailing leadership style in the analyzed group of commanders is the transactional type and that factors such as teamwork, communication and motivation influence the combative morale of their subordinates.
