Abstract

JARAMILLO ORTIZ, Andrés; JIMENEZ M, Robinson  and  RAMOS, Olga Lucía. Quality inspection based on image processing for an industrial production system. Tecnura [online]. 2014, vol.18, n.41, pp.76-90. ISSN 0123-921X.

This paper details implementation of an artificial vision system through digital image processing, which allows automation of the quality control process. The prototype was implemented in a conveyor belt segment and was designed to discern the quality of two different industrial shapes, with a sensibility of +/- 0,1 mm and a speed rate of 1400 shapes per hour, identifying which pieces are within manufacture quality requirements. This work is divided in three main sections: hardware, electronic control and software.

Keywords : artificial vision; image processing; quality inspection.
