Abstract

ACERO RODRIGUEZ, Paulo Daniel. Resilience and Criminal Trends: Protective Factors of Antisocial Behavior. Rev. Crim. [online]. 2009, vol.51, n.1, pp.131-145. ISSN 1794-3108.

This paper attempts to discuss determinant trends of people who have gone through traumatic experiences and considers them as being affected and passive victims of such traumatic events. This paper also analyzes concepts such as resistant personality, resilience and post-traumatic growth as a basis to exhibit how people involved in such tragic experiences may show responses not only adaptative to the situation but also [responses] that allow them to integrate such an experience to their own lives so as to bring about positive types of learning which, in turn, would permit them to successfully face adverse future events.
