The peer group is one of the more important relational spaces in adolescence. If the peer network an adolescent counts with exhibits risky conducts, it becomes a risk factor for this adolescent to carry them out. The objective of this study was the validation of an assessment instrument of the adolescents’ focal point networks, the IRS-F (literally: Inventory of Socio-community Resources Focused on the Focal Point Networks of the Adolescent). It is study of quantitative nature and uses correlation evidences, comparison of averages, and reliability analysis. The simple consisted of 138 adolescent offenders between 14 nd 19 years of age, with and average of 16.4 (SD=1.10), residing in the south of Chile. Inter-judge reliability and internal consistence are delved into (Cronbach Alpha of 0.790 and 0,868 in their two scales), and proper concurrent and discriminating validity indicators are obtained. Results are generally consistent with those found in the international literature.
