Objective:

To analyze the collective action developed within the framework of the socioterritorial conflict in the town of Freirina, Atacama, Chile. Results:

A community organization that displayed different repertoires of action, the existence of antagonistic relationships raised in the conflict, the importance of local spaces and territories, and community resistance in the struggle for dignity are observed.

Conclusions:

Keywords : collective action; socio-territorial conflict; meanings; antagonistic relations; community resistance.
