Abstract

GARCIA ORTIZ, Christian. La responsabilidad social empresarial y el papel de las empresas en la construcción de sociedad. suma neg. [online]. 2013, vol.4, n.1, pp.121-134.  Epub Mar 01, 2021. ISSN 2215-910X.

The contradictions arising between economic growth, social equity, and environmental care, are further deepened currently as society begins to display the results from the ravages of an untenable market and production system, for many declining. The damage to natural resources and ecosystem integrity, the low participation and social mobility, are just examples that explain the diffuse future of the destructive contemporary enterprise system, which governments fail to contain.

The definition given to Corporate Social Responsibility in this article is not unlike previous works however, we seek to show the opportunities and strengths that these practices can create for organizations and society. Here it is not intended to construct a theoretical model that fully explain the incentives of large corporations to act responsibly with their environments, there is an approach to the role economic theory could play in defining the role that organizations have in building a better community.

The main biases arising from the traditional analysis of the economic theory of the firm are exposed, as well as the Colombian public policy to generate sustainable business contexts with systemic perspective on the social and environmental fields. The objective is to evaluate qualitatively the elements that are involved in the discussion and who envision a bright future for companies with sustainable practices internally and externally.

Keywords : Corporate Social Responsibility; sustainable development; systemic perspective; interest groups.
