Abstract

The research deals with a comparative analysis of the legal regulation of the political parties' funding in Spain and Russia. The authors study the best practices of both countries in applying of different legal mechanisms to determine and regulate public financing of political parties, and determine general trends in the development of party systems. In addition such approach allows to reveals the hidden risks of political corruption and to prevent them.. Such approach allows to the authors to formulate the basic principles of public financing of political parties, as well as the proposals to improve the system of distribution of budgetary resources among political parties, taking into consideration an electoral support and the "size" of the State budget for the current year.
